¹⁸and were crying out, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’ ¹⁹And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning,

“Alas, alas, O great city—
    in her all who had ships at sea grew rich from her wealth!
For in a single hour has she been ruined!
²⁰Rejoice over her, O heaven,^[a]
    and you kedoshim, emissaries and prophets!
    For God has judged her condemnation of you!”
